Mittwoch 18.3. um 19 Uhr.<\/strong><\/p>

Anna-Lena Wenzel liest aus ihrem Buch „Freundschaft“ vor, das 2025 im Textem Verlag\u00a0<\/span><https:\/\/textem-verlag.de\/textem\/theorie\/kleiner-stimmungsatlas\/569<\/a>>\u00a0 erschienen ist und die Trilogie der Beziehungen beendet, die sie mit\u00a0 <\/span>„Liebe“ (2017) und mit „Herzschmerz“ (2021) begonnen hat. Es ist eine Huldigung an die Freundschaft, zu der Freundschaftskummer ebenso geh\u00f6rt wie das Befragen der flie\u00dfenden Grenzen zwischen Kollegialit\u00e4t und Freundschaft. Das Buch – zusammengesetzt aus Notizen, Gespr\u00e4chen und Alltagsbeobachtungen – ist eine Einladung \u00fcber eigene Freundschaften nachzudenken.<\/p>

What visual languages, tools, and imagery do far-right influencers and conspiracy theorists deploy across their respective social media channels? And what kind of distorted worldview and underlying ideology is conjured among their manifold communities of followers?<\/p>

In this context they become \u2014literally\u2014\u00a0 building blocks for an overall distorted image of the world.Images were sourced from social media platforms that hardly any average person has ever heard of, let alone watched: They are called \u201cBitChute\u201d, „Gettr\u201d \u201cGab“, „Parler“, „Rumble“ and \u201cOdysee“\u00a0 But also mainstream media and its depiction of „conspiracy“\u00a0 are part of the chosen source the images for the video mosaic in which each shard consists of a myriad of Influencer and conspiracy theorists\u2019 graphics and animations forming three upright mobile phone images sequences.<\/p>

In an era of eroding institutions, deep-state revelations, and an atmosphere of impending collapse, the work sets itself the task of transforming this highly charged visual material: nullifying its menacing agency and reassembling its fragments into a mosaic of pure, abstract beauty.<\/p><\/div>

Slouchers<\/strong><\/p>

The objects displayed throughout in the exhibition explore the transfer of aesthetic strategies from the visual arts into architecture. As they traverse disciplinary boundaries, they smuggle in qualities not typically associated with architectural practice. Where architecture is often defined by precision, rigor, and functional clarity, these objects appear ambiguous and functionally indeterminate.<\/p>

One way to unlock their potential is to frame them as columns\u2014not in the literal, structural or tectonic sense, but as metaphorical supports. Rather than buttressing physical weight, they nourish architecture with new perspectives by reflecting on a field often perceived as too disciplined, exclusionary, and rigidly inflexible.<\/p>

Tectonically weak, few of these \u201ccolumns\u201d resemble or function as traditional columns. Some are too soft to stand upright; others try but settle into a slouch. Some surrender entirely, resting on the floor, while others pretend to be \u201cfunctional\u201d architecture components. Some comment on feelings, others on atmospheres. Plants, too, take on the role, further dissolving the distinction between structural expectation and artistic provocation.<\/p>

Description: <\/strong>TTTTT is an essay film which takes the form of a long stroll that has lost all the heroic qualities of the romantic wanderlust. The flaneur has become a tourist, the collector a thief. The near mythical longing for images, the need for inner recollection still remain. Everything is already both an altarpiece and a postcard. Spoken words have lost their power to inform and have to make room for a musical inner commentary.<\/p><\/div>

In Un \u00e1rbol de voces, bocas de r\u00edos, the artist embarked on a personal journey through the migration stories of her maternal lineage. As an act of offering and listening, which led her to return to her mother\u2019s town Tumbes in the northern Pacific coast of Peru, close to the large mangrove sacred ecosystem between Peru and Ecuador. This experience came from having several conversations with her female relatives living as careworkers in the global north. After listening to their memories, the artist decided to honor their resilience by performing a series of small gestures and rituals in different places in Tumbes, such as the river where some of her relatives spent their youth, the mangrove\u2019s waters and her grandmother’s house.\u00a0<\/p>

At the starting point and throughout her journey,\u00a0 she gave her own hair as an offering to the place,\u00a0which was cut by her youngest aunt. The hair symbolizes an embodied heritage, an embodied archive, an embodied resistance and the passing of time in a circular way, as a constant becoming. The person who appears in the images isn\u2019t Ivonne anymore, but the spirits and memories of her maternal lineage that accompany her. Following Achille Mbembe\u2019s concept of necropolitics, these gestures are also a response to the\u00a0dehumanizing mode of operation\/structure\/nature\/reality of the immigration systems\u00a0that are constantly neglecting the humanity of the global majority.<\/p>

During the opening, the artist will cook together with the visitors her mother\u2019s recipe of\u00a0humitas verdes\u00a0and during the closing day, she invites the visitors to accompany her to offer her hair to the Spree.<\/p>

Does our need for beauty and power but also vulnerability, coping and resilience create seemingly \u2018strange\u2019 practices? When put under a microscope, what can these practices look like? And how do they seep into our behaviors, relationships, self-perceptions, politics or accepted truths?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In three different works of photography and video the exhibition underlines and questions the absurdity and complexity of the practices Western society not only creates but also perpetuates, imposes and adapts to.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Ich entdecke meine folgende am 11.02.2025 entstandene Notiz: \u201eWie r\u00e4ume ich auf? Erinnerung an eine Beobachtung: Ich r\u00e4ume erst das auf, bspw. bringe ich einen Gegenstand aus dem Bad in die K\u00fcche, da der Gegenstand eigentlich in die K\u00fcche geh\u00f6rt. In der K\u00fcche finde ich bspw. einen Topf, der seltsame Kalkablagerungen oder so etwas hat. Ich w\u00fcrde also Essig und Soda in den Topf f\u00fcllen. Dann w\u00fcrde ich zur\u00fcck ins Bad laufen. Was habe ich noch einmal hier getan? Es f\u00e4llt mir wieder ein: Ich wollte den Spiegel putzen. Dazu gehe ich auf den Balkon, um den Abzieher zu holen, da ich letzte Woche die Fenster auf dem Balkon geputzt hatte und daf\u00fcr den Abzieher benutzt und anschlie\u00dfend hier abgelegt hatte. Es ist also, f\u00fchre ich mir vor Augen: ein scheinbar unstrukturiertes Putzen und Ordnen. Ein assoziatives Aufr\u00e4umen. [\u2026] Ich bewege mich durch eine Struktur, die mir ihre Pfade vorgibt.\u201c<\/span><\/p>

F\u00fcr diese Videoarbeit trage ich T\u00fcren aus etwa 140 \u201eHome-Invasion\u201c-Filmen zusammen und beobachte, was f\u00fcr Pfade entstehen, wenn ich mich durch sie hindurch bewege; welchen Objekten und Figuren ich darin begegne; ich bewege mich nicht linear durch die Filme, sondern, wie beim Aufr\u00e4umen springend, abschweifend. Ein Ger\u00e4usch, eine Bewegung, ein seltsames Gef\u00fchl zieht mich weiter, rei\u00dft mich raus aus dem, was ich gerade \u201eordnen\u201c wollte. Ich verliere mich im Material. Was f\u00fcr eine Wirklichkeit wird hier eigentlich beschrieben?<\/span><\/p>

I discover the following note I made on February 11, 2025: „How do I tidy up? Reminder of an observation: I tidy up first, for example, I take an item from the bathroom to the kitchen because it actually belongs in the kitchen. In the kitchen, I find a pot that has strange limescale deposits or something like that. So I would pour vinegar and soda into the pot. Then I would walk back to the bathroom. What was I doing here again? It comes back to me: I wanted to clean the mirror. To do this, I go to the balcony to get the squeegee, because I cleaned the windows on the balcony last week and used the squeegee for that and then left it here. So, I realize: it’s seems like an unstructured cleaning and tidying up. An associative tidying up. […] I move through a structure that indicates its paths to me.“<\/span><\/p>

For this video work, I assemble doors from about 140 \u201chome invasion\u201d films and observe what paths emerge as I move through them; what kind of objects and characters I encounter in them; I do not move linearly through the films, but rather, as when tidying up, jumping around, digressing. A sound, a movement, a strange feeling draws me further, pulls me out of what I was just about to \u201cput in order.\u201d I lose myself in the material. What kind of reality is actually being described here?<\/span><\/p>

w\u00e4rme003 ist die Aufzeichnung einer live gespielten Video-Audio-Performance: Ein Videoprozessor, ein Videomonitor und ein Videomixer wurden so verschaltet, dass ein eigenst\u00e4ndiger Video-Feedback-Loop entstand. Bildst\u00f6rungen, Sync-Fehler und Glitches bildeten dabei das visuelle Rohmaterial. Parallel dazu erzeugte ein modulares Audiosystem Kl\u00e4nge, die live transformiert wurden. Die aus dem Audiosystem kommenden Signale \u2013 Klang und Steuerspannungen \u2013 griffen direkt ins Videobild ein und ver\u00e4nderten es laufend. So entstand eine doppelte R\u00fcckkopplung zweier miteinander verschalteter Systeme. w\u00e4rme003 spielt mit Prinzipien von Selbstorganisation und dem Potential generativer St\u00f6rung.<\/p>

w\u00e4rme003 is a recording of a live-performed video-audio session. A video processor, a video monitor, and a video mixer were interconnected to create an autonomous video feedback loop. Visual noise, sync errors, and glitches formed the raw visual material. In parallel, a modular audio system generated sounds that were transformed live. The signals coming from the audio system \u2014 sound and control voltages \u2014 directly intervened in the video image, continuously altering it. This created a double feedback loop between two interconnected systems. w\u00e4rme003 plays with principles of self-organization and the potential of generative disruption.<\/p>

Mittels Frottage-Technik werden Holzstrukturen auf Leinwand \u00fcbertragen und bilden die Grundlage f\u00fcr mehrere \u00d6lbilder der Ausstellung.
Durch die Verbindung dieser Abdr\u00fccke mit malerischen Elementen entsteht ein Spannungsfeld zwischen Natur, Urbanit\u00e4t und Verfall.<\/p>

Ein zentrales Thema ist die Orientierungslosigkeit \u2013 sowohl im physischen als auch im psychischen Raum. Die Arbeiten reflektieren Zust\u00e4nde des Suchens, der Instabilit\u00e4t und des \u00dcbergangs.<\/p>

Wooden structures are transferred onto canvas using the frottage technique, forming the basis for several oil paintings in the exhibition.
By combining these impressions with painterly elements, a tension is created between nature, urbanity, and decay.<\/p>

A central theme is the loss of orientation \u2013 both in physical and psychological spaces. The works reflect states of searching, instability, and transition.<\/p>

Im Rahmen der „Poets‘ Corner“ des Poesiefestival Berlin vom Haus f\u00fcr Poesie, zeigt der Kotti-Shop die Ausstellung „Widerspenstige Alphabete“. \u00a0Das Ausstellungsprojekt nimmt Bezug auf den ber\u00fchmten Gedichtzyklus \u201eAlfabet\u201d von Inger Christensen, deren Werk Allt\u00e4glichkeiten mit Themen des Weltgeschehens auf faszinierende Weise sprachlich verwebt, assoziativ und doch raffiniert durchkomponiert. So versammelt \u201eWiderspenstige Alphabete\u201c k\u00fcnstlerische Positionen, die ausgehend von der Idee einer Alphabetstruktur die r\u00e4umlich-soziale Struktur des Stadtraums in all ihrer Komplexit\u00e4t auf ungew\u00f6hnliche Weise poetisch reflektieren. Der \u201aKotti\u2018 und der umgebende Stadtraum am Kottbusser Tor stehen dabei u.a. im Mittelpunkt der k\u00fcnstlerischen Auseinandersetzung. \u201eAlphabete der Nachbarschaft\u201c pr\u00e4sentiert die Ergebnisse eines partizipativen Projekts mit Kindern, Jugendlichen und Anwohner:innen des Neuen Kreuzberger Zentrums. Von der Struktur eines Alphabets geleitet, entwickelten die Teilnehmenden assoziative Wortketten und visuelle Arbeiten, die ihre Sicht auf die Nachbarschaft ausdr\u00fccken.<\/p>

Legends<\/i><\/b> ist eine Langzeit-Performance, die den Kotti Shop in eine kleine Fabrik und ein Fernsehstudio verwandelt, in dem Biobrennstoffbriketts aus Altpapier und Stroh hergestellt werden. In dieser neuen Version, die erstmals 2024 im VORBRENNER in Innsbruck aufgef\u00fchrt wurde, konzentrieren sich die beiden Performer auf die Schaffung kurzer poetischer Fragmente aus den Werken von Karl Marx, insbesondere aus seinem Text Fragment \u00fcber Maschinen. Das Werk befasst sich mit Arbeit (merken Sie sich dieses Wort, damit Sie es Ihren Enkeln erkl\u00e4ren k\u00f6nnen), k\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz und Produktion im Kontext der Klima- und Sozialkatastrophen, mit denen wir in diesem Jahrhundert zu k\u00e4mpfen haben. Neben der handwerklichen Herstellung wird die Auff\u00fchrung auch Kochkurse und eine Meisterklasse f\u00fcr die Zubereitung der besten Cocktails der Welt umfassen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Die Auff\u00fchrung wird sechs Tage lang rund um die Uhr laufen und zwischen Mitternacht und 8 Uhr sowie zwischen 14 und 20 Uhr \u00fcber Twitch auf http:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/bricksbarn live \u00fcbertragen. Klatsch und Tratsch is rooted in<\/span><\/span><\/span> the reuse of materials (mostly what is considered waste) which we develop, re-invent & create new useful objects out of with Kotti community and other friends. We find it fundamental to develop work in formats that share skills while nurturing life with joy, conversation and food.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During this period, we aim to reuse the resources of waste in the Kotti area, which means collecting objects lying around and telling personal stories while transforming these objects. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>We wish it to be artistically intriguing and also functional because we want to build seats and a table for gathering, eating, chatting and more. We would love for these objects to be used further, so we imagined keeping them in the area. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To enhance the already present sense of community, we’ll prepare shared snacks with Yasmeen, who cooks with whatever is there, and with non-hierarchical storytelling sensibility. At the last day of our action, we\u2019ll have a big dinner for whoever is there.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Us, Yasmeen Al-Qaisi & Willem van den Hoek would like to share with people the sense of improvisation and creativity, the joy of tailoring one\u2019s wishes to what is already there, basically the celebration of having enough with enough. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yasmeen Al-Qaisi is a writer for voice and paper appearing sometimes in other forms such as a walking scientist, the schnelle musikalische hilfe service, or as the only agent for the self-entitled-self-entitlement-office. Jasmina is as well listening with her hands and makes waves on free, independent, temporary, mobile radios and public radios writing with sound.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

HD Video (silent), 1hr, 55min 2020

Orbital no.2: Berlin combines three concentric journeys around the city of Berlin into a single, dizzying video-mandala. The outer ring of the video shows one full circuit of Berlin\u2019s orbital Autobahn, the \u2018A10\u2019. The middle ring shows one complete circuit of Berlin\u2019s \u2018Ring-Bahn\u2019 train (shot from the driver’s cabin). And the inner circle shows the view from one circuit of the revolving restaurant found at the top of Berlin\u2019s TV Tower or \u2018Fernseheturm\u2019. The work is 1hr 55min in length \u2013 the time it took to complete one circuit of the orbital motorway, two circuits of the S-Bahn, and 4 circuits of revolving restaurant.
In the times of the DDR when the Fernseheturm was built, one circuit of the restaurant took a full hour to complete. After the fall of the East German state, however, the dizzying pace of late capitalism means that today a full circuit of the restaurant now takes only half an hour – the kind of compression of space-time that Marx described as the: „annihilation of space by time“<\/p>

Room for Doubt, in collaboration with Sarkhoshi Magazine, published an open call for visuals and objects\u2014keepsakes, souvenirs, and memorabilia\u2014along with their stories, shared by travelers, migrants, and souls living in exile. This call will continue to accept entries during the exhibition at Kotti-Shop. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The space will operate as a metaphorical travel agency, \u00ab\u0622\u0698\u0627\u0646\u0633 \u0633\u0631\u062e\u0648\u0634\u06cc\u00bb (Sarkhoshi Agency), enhancing your travel experience while handling ordinary archival tasks and routine jobs. From 2 to 7 PM, the team will prepare the next issue of the magazine. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Established in 2004 after the mega project \u2018Deep Depression\u2019, Parking Video Library collects, preserves, and updates works by Iranian and international artists in new media, sound, performance, and interactive art. Dedicated to education and noncommercial promotion, it showcases works through screenings, expert talks, and domestic and international exhibitions. Despite the closure of the connected Parkingallery Projects\u2019 gallery space in 2014 (founded in 1998 by art students in Tehran) the video archive and independent platform and project space Parking Video Library remains active. Rixxa Wendland is an art worker living in Berlin Kreuzberg. Her drawings<\/div>
are structural fields of tension. The interweaving of multilayered \u2013 an<\/div>
uncovering of the surface through condensation. Intersection of lines,<\/div>
entanglement and open pores \u2013 tilting images that always also mark the<\/div>
negative space and thus remain ambiguous in their purpose.<\/div>

In her artistic and curatorial practice she deals with the social<\/div>
constitution, its structural immanences and condensations. The practice<\/div>
of asking, listening and inquiring is central here. In cooperation with<\/div>
spot_the_silence\/Christian Oberm\u00fcller, an archive of video interviews on<\/div>
the long history of racism in Germany is being created. Parallels,<\/div>
connecting lines and commonalities emerge between the individual<\/div>
interview sequences – personal experience becomes a political element, a<\/div>
common experience, a common demand. Image sequences – sentence fragments<\/div>
– contexts: continuity and interruption. In her graphic works, these<\/div>
narrative modes and experiences inscribe themselves. The drawings are<\/div>

In INSTINKT, Gry Bag\u00f8ien is singing together with humpback whales in northern Norway. The project is part of an ongoing research initiative where Gry Bag\u00f8ien explores and documents a shared language between humans, plants, and animals. It includes a combination of audio, video, and sculpture. Additionally, an LP was released featuring the audio material, which includes underwater recordings of Bag\u00f8ien’s vocals harmonizing with the whale songs.<\/span><\/p>

Romeo and Juliet<\/strong> (2023)<\/span><\/p>

Romeo and Juliet is a stop-frame animation which features a bridal floral arrangement that dries out and wilts over a period of several weeks.\u00a0 Compressed into a 28 minute video, the work moves from a rich floral beauty to an increasingly complex patchwork of colour and form. The music for the work is a set of variations from Sergei Prokofiev\u2019s ballet \u2018Romeo and Juliet\u2019, specifically the section often referred to as \u2018The Dance of the Knights\u2019. In the video the flower fragments oscillate back and forth around a central axis as they slowly age. However, this is not a straight forward mirror image but rather features a subtle asymmetry. Created during Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine it is this asymmetrical struggle between opposing forces which comes to the fore in the work.<\/span><\/p>

Wie passend, dass der Begriff „Gef\u00fcge“ auf Englisch mit „fabric“, dem „Stoff“, \u00fcbersetzt wird.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

istanbul \/ berlin 2015-2022<\/span><\/p>

the political and cultural repression after a prevented coup d\u00b4etat was all over the media when we received a six month travelling fellowship to istanbul. also being for the first time in a country with a muslim population majority, we were a bit hesitant if we could film and photograph everyone and everything \u2013 which is our way of working.<\/span><\/p>

after a period of familiarisation we realize that our worries were idle. people are friendly and generally do not mind to be photographed. police forces are visible but not interested in us as long as we don\u00b4t film them. a vibrant street life makes the culture very approachable. the architecture and the urban planning are mirroring the political structure and changes in society. the speed and dimension of gentrification processes are insane. the public transport is partly happening by boat and allows incredible views on the city landscape. the hilly structure opens overall views to other neighbourhoods all the time. during our tours to far away outskirts we noticed how endless and culturally diverse istanbul is. it feels like a whole country condensed in a city space. we were amazed how safe and freely we could move around. another sensation are the cats who are all over the place. people build little houses in the streets and feed them.<\/span><\/p>

we started to make friends and realized that our enthusiasm was very different to what people from istanbul felt. the art scene was struggling with repression and a lack of financial support. the government shut down bars and outside restaurants. licences to sell alcoholic beverages were retracted. the music and nightlife scene was suffering. many artists were actually leaving istanbul, many of them towards berlin. people who had a connection to the g\u00fclen movement lost their jobs or worse, they went to prison. the same could happen if one was associated to the gezi-park-protests \u2013 an incident that many remembered as the last time they had hope for a change to the better.<\/span><\/p>

during the six month stay in istanbul we were caught between an atmosphere of declining social freedom and the exhilarating pulse of a dynamic metropolis in constant transformation. after lots of experimentation we found a way to edit the material that reflected our experience: 6 frames one shot, 6 frames another shot, 6 frames one shot, and so on \u2013 always combining two images into a flickering video stream – as if two contradictory minds are melting together inside your brain.<\/span><\/p>

SOC.I.A and Ethingroom1 have been working as an artist duo for many years. In their common artistic practice, the individual positions blur, strengthen and expand. The result is an interweaving (exchange) that no longer focuses on the authorship of the individual, but on the shared artistic process and experience. The collaboration between the two teams multiplies the practices once again. This time, another person, Rixxa Wendland, joins the multi-layered version.<\/div>

*EtchingRoom1* was founded in 2016 by the two graphic artists Kristina Yarosh and Anna Khodkova in Kyiv, Ukraine. The artists work in various techniques, including etching and drawing. Through keen observation, humor and an understanding of sharp sarcasm, Etchingroom1 work on graphic narratives about everyday situations that tell of an unstable, fragile and transient world in modern times.<\/div>

*SOC.I.A* was founded in 2018 by Arthur and Igor Spaskyi in Kyiv, Ukraine. SOC.I.A’s practice focuses on finding a balance between spray culture, music and its representation in the gallery or street space. In their performance videos with self-composed music, they initiate the process of materialization of sound and give it a graphic form. The artists‘ bodies serve as conductors of the sound waves. In this meditative mode, they experience freedom and pleasure.<\/div>

*Rixxa Wendland* is an art worker living in Berlin\/Kreuzberg. Her drawings are structural fields of tension. The interweaving of multilayered – an uncovering of the surface through condensation. Nan Hoover<\/strong> (* 12 May 1931 in Bay Shore, New York as Nancy Dodge Browne; \u2020 9. Audrey Chen<\/strong>
Using the voice, cello and analog electronics, Chen\u2019s work delves deeply into her own version of narrative and non-linear storytelling. A large component of her music is improvised, is completely un-processed and her approach to this is extremely personal and visceral. Her playing explores the combination and layering of an analog synthesizer, preparations and traditional and extended techniques in both the voice and cello. She works to join these elements into a singular ecstatic personal language. aka One Man Nation makes work which some consider art, some consider music and some consider trash. Clearly, it never quite fits into demarcated categories. She is trans,\u00a0nomadic and is exploring the intersections of gender, noise and ritual through sound, performance and the collective trance.
Currently, she has taken a hiatus from running the space e x t a n t a t i o n in Chiang Mai as well as her solo work. The research project \u201cBeneath the City – Uncovering the Old Melbourne Cemetery below the Queen Victoria Market\u201d examines the \u201cOld Melbourne Cemetery\u201d in Melbourne (Australia) where the Queen Victoria Market is now located. The work in progress was developed by the artist Julia Herfurth<\/a> in collaboration with Melbourne filmmaker Scott Lewis<\/a> during an artist residency at Testing Grounds in Melbourne in 2023. The mixed-media installation consists of interviews, prints, film and photographs. This is the first presentation of the project in Berlin.<\/span><\/p>

As a solo performer, in small groups, and in large ensembles, she works in an area which is constantly stretching the borders of what could be defined as DJ mixing, free improvisation and composed music. \u2028<\/span><\/span><\/div>
JD Zazie is a member of Reanimation Orchestra, is part of Hiccup (w\/ Marina Cyrino, Tony Elieh, Matthias Koole) and plays regularly solo and duo with Heidrun Schramm. With a unique voice on keyboards in improvised and experimental musics, she has been active internationally with a host of projects and musicians from the current contemporary improv scene, co-leading creative projects such as the Brooklyn-born VAX (Devin Gray, Patrick Breiner), The Hero of Warchester (Anna Webber, Nathaniel Morgan), and Berlin groups like The Liz (Korhan \u201cLiz\u201d Erel, Liz Allbee), **Y** (Dan Peter Sundland, Steve Heather), SPOILER (Julia Reidy, Sam Hall, Brad Henkel), Meow! (Cansu Tanrikulu, D.P.S., Jim Black), Powerboat (Farida Amadou, Dag Magnus Narvesen) KIM Collective, among many other collaborations and formations with a colorful scope of artists, often employing multidisciplinary craft with visuals and performative elements.<\/span><\/span><\/div>

As a synthesizer player, she works to develop her instrument to the limits of its expressive potential. As a mask maker, her work seeks both to create and overcome issues of identity. #Marina Cyrino <\/a>is a Brazilian flutist, sound artist and researcher currently based in Berlin. She works across the fields of improvisation, composition, instrument building and performative audio-visual installations.\u00a0<\/span>Her flute playing is characterized by singular techniques developed through the use of inside amplification. She explores subtle transformations of the air streams inside the flute\u2019s tube and inside the flutist\u2019s oral cavity, creating a constant kaleidoscopic movement of air-sounds shaped through unvoiced consonants, vowels and plosive sounds. The rhythmic use of the flute, the extensive use of objects and balloons attached to the instrument, and the use of disassembled flute parts are other striking elements of her playing.\u00a0<\/span>One of her main performative strategies is to play with flute stereotypes, revisiting and re(hear)sing Western flutist figures. By removing these figures from their original context and performing them in relation to the construction of Western modes of thinking, she experiment with playing-the-flute\/ performing-the-flutist as a method for dismantling the different economies of an \u2018universal\u2019 narrative that imposes Western thinking as center of knowledges, languages and imaginations.<\/span><\/p>

#Laura.aLL\u00a0 <\/a>the brazilian artist works and lives in Berlin and since 2004 she has been the guitarist of the band M.i.p.V _ M\u00fasicas intermin\u00e1veis para Viagem (\u201cEndless Music For Tripping\u201d). She is an artist and researcher with a multidisciplinary background encompassing music and its relateds, performing arts, photography, video, chemistry and communication-journalism. Her work ranges from experimental art to ambient music, psychedelic rock, electroacoustic, noise and minimal.<\/span><\/p>

#Roberta WJM Andreucci <\/a>is a percussionist, an experimental producer and DJ, and on air personality. She has more than twenty year of experience organizing and promoting alternative music events. She practices plagiarism and the cutting and mixing of musical and ambiental aural sources. Early in her career she started focusing on the use of voices and on vocal metalinguism, focalizing on her personal practice of \u201ccuttingandslicing\u201d and on rhythm patterns obtained through an improper use of her tools of the trade (cdjs, cd player, md, me mixer). Through the years her percussion set morphed into a hybrid encompassing a dj booth, a radio dj one, a microphone station for electroacustic experiments, and a mnemonic butcher\u2019s slab. She is a founding member of performing music units such as Jealousy Party, Semerssuaq, The Secretaries and Sistemi Audiofobici Burp. She is the director of the music label Burp Publications.<\/span><\/p><\/div>

# Vivienne Dick was born in Donegal in 1950 and studied at University College, Dublin. Between 1977 – 1982 she lived in New York, part of a group of filmmakers whose affiliation to the music and aesthetic of punk became known as ‚No Wave‘. Working mainly on Super 8, Dick’s films from this period feature many musicians from the punk movement in NY with performances and music from Lydia Lunch, James Chance, Pat Place, Adele Bertei, and Ikue Mori. Dick returned to Ireland in 1982 and then to London in 1985, where she was a member of The London Filmmakers Coop for many years and produced a number of films in 16mm, and in video. She lives in Galway, Ireland, where she teaches and continues to make films.<\/p>

# Ana\u00efs Tuerlinckx <\/a>is a pianist, composer and sound artist from Brussels. She moved to Berlin in 2008, interested in the local improvised music scene. Tending to a rather physical and expending way of playing, her performances are characterized by a decidedly harsh and noisy but at the same time elegiac, breezy and spacious sound.\u00a0<\/p>

# Florencia Curci <\/a>is a sound & radio artist and curator based in Buenos Aires. Her work focuses on noise and rhythms as relative concepts that can configure perception, communication and subjectivity. Her interest is to open meeting spaces through sounding and listening.
Her work has been presented at Centro Cultural Kirchner, Cultural San Mart\u00edn [AR], Medialab Prado [ES], Tsonami Festival[CL], Aural Festival [MX], Kunst Radio [AT] and Mayhem [DK], amongst others. Florencia completed her studies in Expanded Music at the UNSAM University, and was part of the Artists\u2019 Program of the Torcuato di Tella University. In 2017, she founded CASo – Centro de Arte Sonoro.\u00a0\u00a0Florencia is part of Investigaciones del Futuro (IF), a non-specific institution and a permanent workshop of thought and construction in Villa Lynch, in the Buenos Aires suburbs.\u00a0<\/p>

# Tatiana Heuman\u00a0<\/a>works in the fields of sound, movement, and media arts. She is passionate about creating and maintaining spaces that facilitate the exchange of narratives and rituals, encouraging diversity, mutual care and the formation of bonds. To achieve this, she actively organizes labs and workshops that combine Deep Listening\u00ae, sound creation, dream sharing, and somatic movement practices.
Her musical journey began in 2009, playing trumpet and drums with the free improvisation band Ricarda Cometa. In 2014, Tatiana embarked on her solo electronic music project and released two EPs in 2014 and 2016. Her first album, ‚QEEI,‘ was released in 2018 under the label Astro Nautico. She has performed in various festivals such as CTM, Heroines of Sound, and Tauron Nowa Muzyka. Recently, she released ‚Luminous,‘ her latest hybrid-club-sound work, in 2023 through Infinite Machine. Tatiana has also worked as a composer and musician for theater and dance productions with choreographers Olivia Hyunsin Kim\/ddanddarakim and Constanza Macras\/Dorky Park. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work as an artist-in-residence at various esteemed establishments, including PACT Zollverein, Theater neben dem Turm, and Hellerau European Center for the Arts.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>

Zwischen dem 5. und 15. Juli er\u00f6ffnet Poets‘ Corner der Poesie berlinweit tempor\u00e4re neue Orte. Im Kotti-Shop ist in dieser Zeit t\u00e4glich ab 21 Uhr die Ausstellung Alles steuert der Blitz des K\u00fcnstlers Orbit zu sehen. Sie zeigt S\u00e4tze im Stadtraum als Projektionen an der Ladenfront.<\/p>

Am\u00a05.7.\u00a0findet um\u00a020 Uhr\u00a0ein Er\u00f6ffnungsevent mit den Dichtern Abdulkadir Musa und Olufemi Atibioke sowie der Dichterin und Filmemacherin Johanna Reichhart statt.Mit einer besonderen Aufmerksamkeit f\u00fcr Materialien und einem Gesp\u00fcr f\u00fcr Fl\u00e4chen oder f\u00fcr die sichtbaren und unsichtbaren Str\u00f6mungen des Urbanen begegnen sich an diesem Abend K\u00f6rper, Text und Raum, \u00fcberlagern und \u00fcbersetzen einander, legen frei oder f\u00fcgen hinzu, und reflektieren so eine Umgebung, in der sich alles st\u00e4ndig verwandelt; mit poetischen \u00dcberraschungsinterventionen durch das Kotti-Shop-Team im gesamten Poets‘ Corner-Zeitraum.Poets\u2019 Corner ist Teil des poesiefestival berlin. Between July 5 and 15, Poets‘ Corner will be opening temporary new venues for Poetry across Berlin. During this time, the exhibition Alles steuert der Blitz<\/strong> by the artist Orbit<\/strong> can be seen daily from 9 pm in font of Kotti-Shop. It shows sentences in urban space as projections on the store front.<\/p>

An opening event with poets Abdulkadir Musa<\/strong> and Olufemi Atibioke<\/strong> as well as poet and filmmaker Johanna Reichhart<\/strong> will take place on July 5 at 8 pm.<\/p>

# Dagie Brundert<\/span><\/a><\/div>
For more than three decades, filmmaker Dagie Brundert has been on the trail of chance, finding beauty in the banal and creating small works of wonder that celebrate this in a way that is as humorous as it is poetic. Her enthusiasm is for imperfect, impermanent, unfinished things and existences. And she captures these in her artistic universe: in experimental Super 8 film and in analog pinhole camera photography.<\/div>
As a pioneer in the production of biological film developers, she creates unique effects with analog means that show a very unique, poetic approach to the world<\/div>

#Ute Wassermann<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/div>
has studied visual arts (sound installation, performance art) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, and singing at the University of California, San Diego. She tours the world as an improviser, she realises audiovisual voice performances \/ installations and compositions for soloists and ensembles. At the core of her research is an ongoing and uncompromised exploration of her voice. Ute creates imaginary acoustic habitats in which her chameleon-like voice is tuned in with composed or found soundscapes. Her methods to extend and alienate the voice include the use of bird whistles, lo-fi electronics, resonators, field recordings and different types of microphones. Her performances engage with everyday objects or self invented instruments for voice which can take shape as acoustic costumes.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div># Mariana Carvalho<\/span> <\/a><\/div>
Between sound art, experimental music and performance art, Carvalho works with the body, interactions and limits between bodies, mostly through sound. Exploring internal listening, contact, distance and different ways of co-mingling through technological mediation. She uses voice, improvisation, hybrid compositional methods, self-built instruments, text, prepared piano, and different microphone and speaker arrangements involving transducers, binaural microphones, hydrophones and very small speakers. Carvalho creates relational devices for interaction and works transdisciplinary.<\/div>

# Paula Sanchez\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
is a musician who works with sound and image, in the field of experimental music, improvisation and performance art. Taking body and materials to the limit, in the destruction,composition\/decomposition of a mutable sound space In the pure presence of an embodied sound that invents relations as it makes its way into nothingness. She made her musical studies at the National University of San Juan in Argentina and a Masters in Performance specialized in Free Improvisation with Fred Frith and Alfred Zimmerlin at Musik Akademie of Basel, Switzerland 2018-2020.\u00a0<\/div>

#\u00a0Rosi F\u00f6rster<\/strong>\u00a0is a trained studio assistant and graduate engineer for electro-acoustics and room acoustics. She took piano lessons and sang her first concerts with jazz musicians who later became famous during her training in Dresden. As a single mother, she returned to Berlin in 1966 and began her professional career as a sound engineer in music production at Funkhaus Berlin. Her last position was as a music and sound technologist at the Radio and Television Technical Central Office in Adlershof, where she was responsible for the development of useful studio equipment in the GDR. Rosi F\u00f6rster now has more time for her own music and does not stop experimenting, remainsing true to the mixture of live jazz and experimentally applied electronics. She continues her education and plays performances and concerts in various constellations, mostly in the local milieu.\u00a0<\/div>

#\u00a0Lena Wenta<\/strong>\u00a0creates sound sculptures and plays as a clarinetist and multi-instrumentalist in various formations, concerts and tours at European level. As a composer and musician, she designed and performed music for various theater productions such as \u201aTraum eines Narren\u2018 or \u201aAdele Spitzeder\u2018, as well as short feature films such as \u201aGhosts\u2018 or \u201aDer Garten\u2018, while studying classical North Indian music with Sebastian Dreyer for several years.
She grew up in Bonn and the surrounding area, where she won the Beethoven Bonnensis Youth Support Prize in 2004 with her first sound installation \u201eThe Blossom of the Deaf Seed\u201c. In order to deepen her passionate relationship with sound and music, she moved to Berlin to study the newly emerged Sound Studies Master at the University of Arts. She has stayed ever since in the German capital further developing her performative skills, as well as technical mediums to explore the fields of sonic design and sculpting.<\/div>

#\u00a0Munsha<\/strong>\u00a0is the alias of Daniela Lunelli, a Berlin-based singer, cellist, and composer, who works and performs with theatre, installation, video art, and multimedia. Als Kotti-Shop\/SuperFuture haben Julia Brunner und Stefan Endewardt eine gemeinschaftliche k\u00fcnstlerische Praxis mit den Nachbar*innen am Kottbusser Tor etabliert. Neben dem Verweilen geh\u00f6ren dazu unter anderem gro\u00dfformatige Installationen im Au\u00dfenraum, kollektive Spielplatzplanung und das w\u00f6chentliche Format \u201ecollagebasiertes Kaffeetrinken\u201c. Dabei steht im Fokus, den \u00f6ffentlichen Raum als sch\u00fctzenswertes Allgemeingut zu verteidigen und den Menschen in der Umgebung etwas zur\u00fcckzugeben. Das Projekt \u201eFormen der Verhandlung<\/a>\u201c in der Berlinischen Galerie pr\u00e4sentiert erstmals \u00fcber einen l\u00e4ngeren Zeitraum in einem musealen Kontext die Arbeitsweisen und Strategien dieser sozial engagierten Kunst.<\/p>

Anhand von theoretischen Einordnungen aus zwei unterschiedlichen Feldern kontextualisiert der Fachtag die k\u00fcnstlerische Praxis von Kotti-Shop\/SuperFuture. Dabei wird zum einen ihr transformatives Potential beschrieben. Zum anderen arbeiten die Vortr\u00e4ge Beziehungsarbeit und F\u00fcrsorge als zentralen Moment der Arbeit von Kotti-Shop\/SuperFuture heraus und er\u00f6rtern M\u00f6glichkeiten einer emanzipatorischen Stadterneuerung.<\/p>
